Services

Fresh Eyes Editing Services

When your eyes are too tired to see the words clearly, that’s when Fresh Eyes are needed.

The Name

In 1993, I participated in an artist women’s conference in Connecticut. I was the only Latina in a room of thirty-five women. During the conference, we were asked to reveal a future goal, books flying thumbwhich we had never disclosed to anyone. When my turn came, I looked around the room at all the smiling faces, smiled back, then said, “BronzeWord. Words written by brown people whose ancestors lived by the sun. I will build a publishing house that caters to Latinos and Latinas.”

BronzeWord is dedicated to helping writers turn their manuscripts of full-length fiction and nonfiction into promising, salable properties.

The Business of Writing

Fresh Eyes offers writers – of different ability levels – services that can make their words shine. Some of these services include:

    Typing manuscripts from audio recording

Revising and editing manuscripts for story editing

Line Editing and proofreading by English Dept Head

Line editing can be purchased as one package

Fresh Eyes can assist, develop, and advise writers who may be too busy due to their day jobs. BronzeWord offers services which can eliminate the time consuming hassles of sending our work to be published. BronzeWord can help writers:

Send out their query letters to agents

Send out their manuscript packages to agents

Send out their proposal packages to editors

Fresh Eyes is dedicated to assist writers at any level of your writing career or with your full-length fiction and nonfiction to turn promising manuscripts into salable properties.

Fresh Eyes offers a free sample edit and brief critique.can do it

Evaluation of first thirty pages of manuscript.

A brief critique of first ten pages submitted.

(Pages must be in manuscript format when submitted.)

Fresh Eyes offers assistance by searching for literary representation for un-agented authors. Although BronzeWord cannot guarantee writers’ publication as a result of working with us, but we can dramatically improve publication odds by offering:

    Manuscript Evaluation & Consultation

    Storyediting, Proofreading, Copyediting, Line Editing

Synopsis, Query Letter & Book Proposal Preparation

    Literary Agency Matchmaking

    Ghost Writing & Collaboration

What can happen:

ist1_2350309-pencil-heart1. If you have the book in your head, get a tape recorder and record your manuscript while you drive or any other daily activity.

2. An associate will type the manuscript from your tape recording into formal manuscript format.

3. After the story is in manuscript format, an associate will story edit and craft the writing with your chapter by chapter approval. Once the manuscript is complete, the story will be re-edited for story craft again.

4. Our line editing and proof-reading is performed by a BronzeWord associate who is the head of an English Department. Once again, this service is performed with your chapter by chapter approval.

5. We can offer advice and counsel the author if any problem areas with the story occurs, or with any other writing-related subject.

6. If you are writing non-fiction, we can write your book proposal, as we work on the manuscript. However, expect to be asked questions on details, historical information, or factual information presented in your non-fiction writing.

7. We can also research competitive books for your book proposal.

8. We will research your target audience for your book proposal or fiction manuscript.

9. We also assist by writing the query letter for the non-fiction book proposal or the fiction manuscript.

10. We will design a marketing and promotional plan for use in your book proposal and for your fiction manuscript.

11. We can assist you to write and publish articles about your book subject to build a platform and credibility.

12. We can instruct you on platform marketability.

13. We can find Book Blogs to interview you about your book before the book is finished to build your platform.

14. We can also have another non-fiction book proposal expert and manuscript writing expert look over your manuscript with a fresh-eye review. (This action depends on a discussion between us.

15. We can help match agents to your genre/interests to query.

16. If you have a day job, we can send the query to agents for fiction manuscript or book proposal. We will prepare the package and deliver the package to the post office.

17. We can readily prepare and mail your manuscript when an agent makes a request.

18. We can work with you on any editing required by publisher.

19. We can assist in designing an appropriate book page for your website that will draw in visitors.

20. We can prepare a Press Kit to represent your book. We can assist in writing the press release then post them to fifty press release sites.

21. Throughout this process, we are continually able to prepared you for presentations.

22. Throughout the year before the book comes out and at the debut of book, we will actively seek more promotional opportunities.

23. We can assist you by guiding you through the year, between signing your contract and when the published book comes out. There are a zillion things to do to prepare for the book’s debut.

24. We can design a Virtual Book Tour for your book and connect you with other excellent book tour associates.

25. We can assist with postcard promotional mailings to target audiences, nationwide libraries, schools/colleges programs, and significant groups.

26. We can also assist by e-mailing promotional mailings to target audience as described above in #25.

27. If appropriate, we will research corporate sponsorships for your book.

My part-time teen assistant, all costs to mail book packages, and traveling will be covered in BronzeWord fees with receipts attached.

Fees:

Book Earrings” by Dvortygirl

Fees are discussed after the evaluation of the manuscript. Fresh Eyes works on a sliding scale accommodating income level, but charges a basic $100 fee to begin.

Proofreading and line editing are $30 per hour paid by the author when work is completed and invoice submitted. This fee is separate from BronzeWord’s fees and is sent directly to the grammar (guru) associate. Other places charge up to $10 per page for line editing.
